The first project in Hwange 2019 was the Sino hydro dam with only few employees then moved to mining pillars at M-block underground mine. The labour strength during the period was less than 100 employees. Initially Zhong Jian Investments had three departments, namely Mining, Human Resources and Engineering. The organization used to hire transport from local individuals and other small entities. It is a gender sensitive organization as it employs women at the mine. The organization went on to expand and moved into surface coal mining at Chaba pit in July 2020. The number of employees increased to four hundred (400], which led to the introduction of yet another department, namely marketing. Four hundred families in the
Hwange community and the country at large benefited from the company's expansion. 

The organization has Engineering department that takes care of mining equipment availability and eficiency. The Marketing department sells coal products which are wharf, coke nuts, coke peas
